Rabbi Lila Kagedan

Rabbi Lila Kagedan is a consultant, and educator in the areas of global health, ethics, religion and education and is a Shalom Hartman Institute RLI fellow. She is also a Hadassah Brandeis Institute-Gender, Culture, Religion and Law Research Associate. Rabbi Kagedan is a clinical ethicist and chaplain and sits on ethics committees of major hospitals, hospices and academic institutions.

Rabbi Kagedan has consulted for several NGOs, health care centers and academic institutions while also working in clinical environments. She is currently an instructor of bioethics at the New York Medical College. Rabbi Kagedan is the founder of the Sulam School in Brookline and holds degrees and certificates from Midreshet Lindenbaum, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, The University of Toronto, Harvard University, The Medstar Washington Hospital Center and Massachusetts General Hospital. Rabbi Lila Kagedan has served on the spiritual leadership team as clergy at the Mount Freedom Jewish Centre and as Rabbi in residence in Melbourne, Australia.
